  • What is the process Dr. Carrie uses in the Life Spark United Program?

First you will schedule a free 30 minute discovery call to talk about your medical issues, answer any questions and ensure that you are ready to start on this path with Dr. Carrie.  Then if you choose to be a part of the Life Spark United Program you will join other like-minded individuals on their cancer journeys in a 3 month transformation.  Every 2 weeks you and your group will attend a group visit with Dr. Carrie during which she will teach an aspect of whole health that you can incorporate into your life, such as the 6 Steps to Healing, meditation, nutrition, emotional release techniques and routines for better sleep.  You will have a chance to interact with your peers for emotional support and to learn from each other.  During the 3 month period you will meet with Dr. Carrie for 3 one-to-one appointments where she will help you with any challenges that may arise.  At the end of the program you will create an individualized prescription of whole health for yourself.  You also will have lifetime access to a private Facebook group where you can connect with other individuals in different stages of their process and support those in need.

  • Why are group appointments included in the Life Spark United Program?

Group appointments are included in the Life Spark United Program because Dr. Carrie believes community revitalizes wellbeing.  Studies have shown that group visits reduce blood pressure and cholesterol, improve blood sugar, decrease emergency and urgent care visits, improve health behaviors, improve quality of life, and increase patient satisfaction (1).  One study identified loneliness genes in patients with leukemia, lymphoma, brain, ovarian and lung cancers.  Those patients who were at low risk for loneliness survived longer than patients with a high risk of loneliness (2).  Another study looking at 3000 nurses with breast cancer found that those who were socially isolated were twice as likely to die from their breast cancer, and having 10 or more supportive friends increased their survival (3).  Patients who attend group visits report that they know they are not the only ones facing their illness, they learn new information from each other, and they gain the self confidence and skills needed to manage their own health (4).

  • What will happen during a group appointment?

During the first group appointment Dr. Carrie will give a short presentation on how the Life Spark United process works and will teach some basic foundational principles of health.  You will have time to ask questions and interact with your peers.  Subsequent group visits will focus on certain aspects of your health, again with ample time for questions and discussion.  You can participate in the dialogue as much or as little as you like.  Either way, Dr. Carrie believes the group appointments are a vital part of restoring your whole health.

  • Is the Life Spark United Program the only way I can work with Dr. Carrie?

No, you can schedule an individual appointment and if you choose to purchase the Life Spark United Program you can apply the cost of the appointment to the program.  You may also purchase a package of 3 or 6 individual sessions at a discounted rate.  The focus of those sessions will be determined by you and Dr. Carrie based on your individual needs.

  • Is there an extra cost for the contracted providers that Dr. Carrie uses?

Dr. Carrie will recommend additional therapeutic modalities based on your medical situation as well as your goals, desires, and what is important to you.  The first two services will be free of charge and may include massage, aromatherapy, Reiki healing, feng shui, advanced nutritional counseling and others.  Additional services beyond the first two will be provided at an additional cost.
